Navigating NYC Streets to Keep Events Running on Schedule
As a Driver for Green Apple, you'll transport food, beverages, and event equipment to locations across all five boroughs and the surrounding metro area. This isn't a standard delivery job — you'll be handling premium catering for corporate clients, government agencies, and private events. Every delivery represents the Green Apple brand, and your professionalism matters as much as your punctuality.
- Load, transport, and unload catering orders, beverages, and event equipment
- Plan efficient routes across Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, and Staten Island
- Ensure food safety and temperature integrity during transport
- Communicate with the operations team regarding delivery status and timing
- Assist with basic event setup when needed at delivery locations
- Maintain the cleanliness and mechanical readiness of delivery vehicles
- Handle last-minute route changes and time-critical additions with composure
Qualifications for This Position
- Valid New York State driver's license with a clean driving record
- Strong knowledge of NYC streets, bridges, tunnels, and traffic patterns
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly throughout a shift
- Reliability and punctuality — early is on time in catering logistics
- Professional demeanor when interacting with clients and venue staff
- Experience with box trucks or large delivery vehicles is a plus
