From private parties to corporate events, Green Apple Catering and Events offers diverse, flavorful menus made from high-quality, fresh, and natural ingredients. We specialize in corporate breakfasts and luncheons, cocktail parties, gallery openings, movie locations, weddings, and all of life’s special events in between.

Catering Questions

What is the best way to contact you with questions or to place an order?
You can reach us by phone Monday–Friday from 6:00 AM to 7:00 PM or by email at orders@GreenAppleCateringNYC.com. Please use voicemail if we are on another call. To place an order, email your request and we will confirm details and send a formal order confirmation. A credit card number is required to guarantee your booking.

How much notice do I need to give for a catering order?
We generally require at least 24 hours’ notice, though we will do our best for last-minute orders. During busy seasons, more lead time may be needed. Staffed events usually require two days’ notice.

How much is the delivery fee?
Delivery fees vary based on location and event details. We serve New York, New Jersey, and Long Island.

Are disposables included?
Yes, disposable plates, bowls, cups, napkins, and cutlery are included as needed.

Is there a minimum order for delivery?
Yes, a six-guest minimum Monday–Friday and $250 minimum on weekends.

Do you offer a non-profit discount?
We work with non-profit organizations to tailor pricing based on individual event needs.

Can we sample the food?
Yes, complimentary tastings are available upon request.

When do I need to give a final guest count?
Please provide your final count two days before your event. Minor increases can typically be accommodated within that timeframe.

Are there labor charges?
Labor is charged per worker, per hour for staffed events.

Is gratuity included in menu pricing?
No, a 10% administrative fee applies to all catering orders. Gratuity is at the client’s discretion.

Is a plated meal the same price as a buffet?
A plated meal typically costs more due to additional labor.

What presentation can I expect?
Items are served in wicker baskets and quality disposable platters. China, silverware, and chafers are available for an additional charge.

Payment and Cancellation Policy

Can I change my order after placing it?
Changes can be made up to three days before the event. Orders become final 48 hours before the scheduled date.

What is your cancellation policy?
Orders cancelled at least 24 hours prior to delivery incur no fee. Cancellations within 24 hours may be charged up to 50%, and same-day cancellations are billed in full.

How do I pay for my order (private customers)?
We accept cash or major credit cards (no personal checks). Payment is due two days before delivery or pickup.

How do I pay for my order (corporate/institutional customers)?
We offer house charge accounts for approved clients and accept company checks, credit cards, and cash. Monthly billing is available for approved accounts.

Event Management

Do you provide rental items for events?
Yes, we coordinate rentals for tables, chairs, linens, china, glassware, and more through top vendors.

Do you provide event staff?
Yes, including chefs, servers, bartenders, and valet staff. A typical dress code is white shirts, black pants, and black shoes.

Do you offer beverage services?
Yes, from soda and wine to premium spirits. We can create custom drink menus and wine pairings.

Do you help find venues?
We partner with many venues across NYC and can assist with site selection.

Do you offer floral design and décor?
Yes, through our network of NYC floral designers to fit every style and budget.

Can you arrange entertainment?
Yes, we can book DJs, live bands, and other performers.

Do you offer photography or videography?
Yes, we work with top professionals in New York City.

Do you provide audiovisual equipment?
Yes, we can supply lighting, sound, and audiovisual systems through trusted providers.

Do you provide wedding cakes?
Yes, including both traditional and modern dessert alternatives.

Do you handle event details like decorations and coordination?
We coordinate all catering-related logistics and can connect you with planners for décor, seating, and entertainment arrangements.

Do you set up and clean up?
Yes, our staff will set and clear tables and leave your space clean.

How many servers are needed for an event?
One server per 25 guests for buffets and one per 20 guests for plated meals (minimum two servers per event).

What additional charges should I expect?
Your proposal includes food costs, rentals, labor, and applicable taxes.

Do you provide paper goods or linens for drop-offs?
Yes, we include paper goods, utensils, and buffet linens. China and silverware options are also available.

Can I customize my menu?
Absolutely! All menus are flexible and can be tailored to your taste, theme, or dietary needs.

Do you offer vegetarian or dietary options?
Yes, we cater to vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and allergy-sensitive guests.

Do you have children’s pricing?
Children aged 5–10 are charged 50% of the adult price. Children 4 and under eat free.

What’s the difference between Full Catering and Casual Catering?

  • Full Catering includes staffed service, buffet setup with linens, china, and cleanup.
  • Casual Catering includes drop-off service in disposable pans with disposables but no staff.

Are gratuities included?
Gratuities are optional and handled at the client’s discretion.

Pricing and Insurance

What are your staff rates?

  • Event Manager: $100/hr
  • On-Site Chef: $100/hr
  • Bartender: $55–95/hr
  • Event Staff: $65/hr
  • Kitchen Staff: $65/hr

Are you insured?
Yes, we are fully licensed and insured for food and liquor liability up to $5 million.
